Description
Airborne URG-I Charging Handle 5.56 - Black
The Geissele Automatics Airborne Charging Handle (ACH) is a fully ambidextrous, dual-levered, gas-busting charging handle designed at the request of an elite organization famous for its expertise in aerial insertions. Machining the Super Charging Handle from a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum allows for the levers to be dual contoured with a checkered handling surface to aid with gloved use. The shortened levers reduce snag points and are ideal for use with low-profile optics. Finally, the rear lip has been raised to help redirect the gas from suppressed or short-barreled rifles away from the shooter's face. All parts are hardcoat anodized in black.
The URG-I Airborne Charging handle maintains all the exceptional features and quality of the standard model with minimal use of laser engraving, displaying only "Geissele Automatics" and the ACH's NSN number.
Features:
Geissele Automatics manufactures confidence, offering quality triggers and components for the warfighter and competitor. They were established in 2004 with the mission to build the highest quality, reliable triggers for competition and their first trigger, the Hi-Speed National Match trigger, was so popular that they were asked by the Department of Defense to produce a select-fire trigger for the United States Special Operations. Again, it was a success and Geissele decided to bring a semi-automatic version to the civilian market for law enforcement and personal protection.

The Airborne Charging Handle is 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Its ambidextrous design allows for seamless operation from either side of the weapon. The levers are dual contoured similar to that of the charging handle of an M14, where not only the x-axis but also the y-axis receive radius cuts. The handling surface of the lever is also checkered, adding a textured grip aiding to the use when operating with gloves. The heightened rear lip of the ACH aids in mitigating gas blow back to the shooter when shooting with short barreled and suppressed weapon systems. The lower profile lever design of the ACH reduces chances of snagging on gear. All parts are then Type 3 Hardcoat anodized.
