The Schmid Tool Castle Nut and QD End Plate set works with mil-spec OR commercial buffer tubes. The Schmid Tool End Plate features a QD mount for a solid and accessible mounting point for your QD sling attachment. The castle nut is designed with three staking indents for positive and reliable staking.

This think is VERRY nice... Just as nice as the aftermarket brands, nicer than a lot of them... And it's not branded...it gives your firearm a very simple and classy look

It's super nice
This is an extremely nice end plate. And the best part is that it has no branding on it... But it's very very nice... I've had almost all the brands... And I can't speak enough for this one... Nice upgrade over "milspec"

Quality is fine but…
Mine won’t accept Magpul sling swivel studs because it contacts the castle nut just enough to create interference. Bummer because I think Schmid otherwise makes great products. From arftac: This does accept Magpul sling swivel studs. We know because they're on all of our builds. If yours doesn't, it's an issue we need to fix. Please contact us before leaving reviews.
