SCP (SOTAR Cam Pin) is a collaboration between Chad Albrecht of School of the American Rifle and Forward Controls Design.
The cam pin is a part of your rifle that pretty much no shooters put any thought into. Whenever we clean our BCG, we'll just reinstall the cam pin without thinking about how it can wear. According to School of the American Rifle (SOTAR)'s Chad Albrecht, this can lead to poor fit and speed up wear on the bolt. Extra wear on the bolt means more bolts breaking. The SOTAR Cam Pin from Forward Controls Design features a dimpled witness mark allowing you to install the cam pin in a consistent orientation to reduce wear and improve the parts life of your bolt.
